Our team conducts operational United States Public Health – Vessel Sanitation Program (USPH-VSP) style inspections and
provide on-the-job support for ships’ personnel in preparation for mandatory national public health inspections worldwide. Ideally, all ships are advised to conduct quarterly external public health compliance reviews / audits. Public health inspections and reviews for ships operating worldwide are offered to ensure compliance with local public health authority regulations in those regions.

WHAT WE DO
A.L. Skinner Consulting Inc. specializes in timely, high quality, creative and practical solutions to environmental public health issues and/or related concerns on passenger conveyances.
We provide audit services, compliance reviews, public health risk management, and training specifically to the passenger conveyance industry.
Although we are prepared to offer environmental public health services (education/training, audits/inspections, etc.) to any passenger conveyance operators, e.g., passenger rail and ferry industries, our primary market is the cruise industry, specifically international cruise ships which are impacted by either, the United States Public Health Services, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Vessel Sanitation Program or other international public health regulations.
Various countries, such as Canada, United States, United Kingdom, European Union (EU), Australia, Brazil, etc. have regulations and requirements that the cruise industry must meet to be in compliance (see regulations tab)
We have over 40 years of experience in the field of environmental public health, including 20 years’ experience in the Canadian cruise ship inspection program.
